NCIA 2022

Nordic Convention on International Affairs 2022: Building a New European Security Order

Challenges and Opportunities for the Nordic and Baltic Region

On the morning of 24 February, Russian president Vladimir Putin shocked Europe to its core. Shattering the conviction that war in Europe belonged in the past. The Russian war in Ukraine has brought back large-scale death and destruction to Europe. Whatever the motivations of the Kremlin may have been, the invasion has sent shockwaves around the world, altering Europe´s post-Cold War security environment. But also dramatically changing the conditions of security in the Nordic and the Baltic region. This is not a winner-takes-all confrontation, and many outcomes are possible. However, what is certain is that the regions have been confronted with its worst security crisis since the fall of the Berlin Wall. By bringing together different perspectives and angles, we will explore the impact of the war on the Nordic and the Baltic region, as well as the opportunities it offers for cooperation.

Join the amazing weekend filled with foreign affair topics, networking opportunities and fun!!!
